The Garretson Blue Dragons look to work hard and enjoy the effects of a lineup that is filled with mostly upper-classmen. Only 2 seniors are gone from last year’s team leaving quite a bit of experience for the room. We hope to be able to get all of our kids divided into the weights, but could be open in a few spots for duals. Many of our athletes have grown together over the years. This, along with a lack of depth, will challenge us to fill the entire team for duals. Leading the way for our team will be two-time state champion Tanner Donelan. He is seeking to end his career as one of the top Blue Dragon wrestlers of all time. Along with Tanner, we return two-time state place winners Scott Howe and Brady Bonte. They will be valuable assets to the team as we work toward our goals. We also return state placewinner Cody Bonte and qualifiers Isaac Lukes and his brother Zach. This group of young men is hungry to reach the podium at the end of the year, not just individually, but as a team also. They will be leading a group of talented young wrestlers that can accomplish many great things with hard work and maturation. Our goals as a team remain consistent with every other year. We want to improve throughout the season so that our team is at its best in February. We want to win the Big East Conference and try to finish the season in the top 8 at the state tournament. We want to wish all of the teams and coaches “Good Luck” during the season.
