I would like to say "thanks" to all the parents and fans that helped work at the tournament. Your help made the day run very smoothly. The coaching staff would like to let you know that your time and effort was greatly appreciated. The team wrestled well at the tournament in Garretson with Tanner Donelan and Scott Howe claiming individual champion honors. Colby Pierret also came up with a big win in the semifinals against the number one seeded wrestler.With low numbers this year, some of our younger athletes were also able to compete in the tournament as an unattached wrestler. This experience will benefit them in the future. Our older guys looked fairly good. We did have some mental mistakes throughout the day. We have to remember to compete for an entire match and to keep our focus. We have a tendency at times to let things out of our control effect how we wrestle. When we can avoid this, our results in close matches will also improve. Canton won the tournament with 168.5 points. The Blue Dragons finished in third place with 131 points. As we move forward into a difficult part of our schedule, we will need to focus on competing in each and every match to maintain our success. Individual results are below.
